Fed Cup Heart Award Nomination. Voting together!
Before the Wimbledon we decided to set up a new column on our website “Оh do you remember?”. Here we will refresh your memories about last year tournaments and significant Sasha’s results there. And today we will remind you about Sasha’s run at Wimbledon 2018.
The situation last year before the Wimbledon was very similar to the state this year. Aliaksandra also hasn’t won matches on grass before the Championship and in the first round she was drawn to play Petra Kvitova (6 WTA) – two time Wimbledon champion in 2011 and in 2014. That was a big challenge for Sasha. But she managed to win and make the biggest sensation of all Wimbledon 2018! Also that win was in top-5 list of knockouts presented by WTA. How it was? Let’s see and enjoy one more time.
And that win over Kvitova was just the beginning of Sasha’s run to the best result at Grand Slams. Then Sasha won Taylor Townsend (120 WTA) and Daria Gavrilova (78 WTA). Aliaksandra reached 4 round for the first time at Wimbledon and at any other Grand Slam. Fot the place in the 1/4 final she played against Jelena Ostapenko (35 WTA), that’s where her impressive run stopped.
That’s how it was in 2018 at Wimbledon. In two days Sasha will try to repeat her success. As it was mentioned, Aliaksandra will play against Simona Halep (7 WTA), another Grand Slam champion and ex world number one.
Why not repeat last year story? We all believe! Come on, Sasha! Stay with Sasnovich.com and Sasnovich Team in all the social networks for future updates. Wimbledon 2019 is coming!
