In the the first round in Sydney Sasha got a win over Daria Kasatkina (10 WTA).
Sasha showed persistent game and won Kasatkina in straight sets 6-1, 6-4. This win over Kasatkina from Russia is the second one over top-10 in this season which has just started. In the next round Sasha will play against a local player – Priscilla Hon (161 WTA).
