Into the 2 round in doubles

Aliaksandra and Lesia Tsurenko (26 WTA) in the first round in doubles faced local players Grymalska/Marchetti. Both having lost in singles Sasha and Lesia tried to get the win in doubles and they managed to do this. The opening set was a close one and ended on a tie-break with the score 7-6 (7-4) in 52 minutes.

The second set was also a difficult one, but Sasha and Lesia were able to close the match 7-6 (7-4), 7-5) in 1 hour and 41 minutes.

Congaratulations to the tandem! In the second round they will face N.4 seeds Sabalenka/Mertens.  Today is a day-off in Rome. Match is to be played tomorrow.
